Courage that Endures

PRINCIPLE: Courage flows from the presence of God, our refuge and strength.


Courage that endures:

1. God is our strength.

Psalm 46:1–2

1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea.

Psalm 46:3

Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling.

God’s power never shrinks but our of God begins to shrink when we pull away from Him.

Psalm 46:4

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,

the holy habitation of the Most High. 

Psalm 46:5

God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns. 

Psalm 46:6

The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts. 

Psalm 46:7

The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. 

Ezekiel 47:12

And on the banks, on both sides of the river, there will grow all kinds of trees for food.
Their leaves will not wither, nor their fruit fail, but they will bear fresh fruit every month, because the water for them flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food,
and their leaves for healing.

Revelation 22:1–2

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal,
flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

Come, behold the works of the LORD, how he has brought desolations on the earth.
