Led by Pastor Marvin in the mountains of Guatemala, Lluvias de Gracia (Showers of Grace) Church serves its local community by teaching the next generation of Jesus-followers and disciple-makers. Through its children’s development center, Showers of Grace gives the children a robust education, including the good news of Jesus. We have a variety of opportunities for all ages to serve this community in Guatemala, from discipleship to community outreach to medical assistance. You can also choose to sponsor a child through Compassion International to help educate them and grow their faith.

Guatemala Sponsorships
Burnt Hickory is building a new relationship with Lluvias de Gracia (Showers of Grace) Church and Pastor Marvin in a rural village in Guatemala. We are working alongside Compassion International who is starting a Child Development Center on the site of Lluvias de Gracia Church. The church will aid in the teaching, feeding and growing over 200 children to help them and their families know God, grow in Christ and get out of poverty. Each child needs a sponsor. Burnt Hickory has the opportunity to build a relationship with these through sponsorship and help cover the cost of being a part of the Child Development Center.
