Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child (October 18-November 15, 2026)
Jump into OCC by grabbing a shoebox, filling it then drop it off in the Missions Outpost by November 15th. You can participate as an individual, family or LifeGroup. Operation Christmas Child Community Collection Week (November 15-23, 2026)
Join us as we serve our community during Operation Christmas Child Drop-Off Week! We need volunteers to help collect, organize and crate shoeboxes—some roles may include heavy lifting into the box truck. Morning and evening shifts are available, so be sure to note your volunteer time slot. Thank you for being part of spreading the Gospel through a simple gift!
Join us for a life changing mission trip to Nairobi, Kenya, where you'll spread the Gospel and serve alongside local children and families through VBS activities, deliver food and hope to widows in Kibera, and provide new shoes to children in need. Doune, Scotland (March 19-26, 2027)
Be part of Easter transformation in Scotland. Join us the week before Easter 2027 as we partner with local churches to share Christ's love through community outreach. Your heart will be changed as much as the lives you touch. **Please note that Scotland trips may involve up to 20,000 steps per day, including prayer walking and information distribution, often on uneven terrain. Participants should be prepared for this level of activity. **

Be part of Burnt Hickory’s first mission trip to Senegal! This exciting opportunity will focus on hosting sports camps that open doors to build relationships and share the hope of the gospel. As our team partners with local believers, we’ll use the universal language of sports to connect with communities and make Christ known in a new field of ministry.

Megidia, Romania (April 2-11, 2027)
This trip to Romania is a meaningful opportunity to serve, build relationships, and share Christ’s love! Through the local community center and outreach throughout the city, we’ll invest in the lives of children and families while growing together in faith. This hands-on trip is a wonderful opportunity for teachers and families with older students to serve together and experience what God is doing in Romania!

Guatemala summer vbs (june 19-26, 2027)
This summer, join us in Tamahu, Guatemala, as we serve local children through Vacation Bible School and share the love of Christ. We’ll spend the week building relationships, sharing smiles and stories, and creating meaningful memories with the children and community. Whether this is your first mission trip or you’re a seasoned traveler, there is a place for you! Come experience the beauty of Guatemala and be part of what God is doing through this community.

Doune, Scotland (September 17-25, 2027)
Burnt Hickory is heading back to Doune, Scotland for our 3rd mission trip, and we are looking for people who feel called to serve! Our team will partner with local churches in Scotland to share the love of Christ through community outreach and evangelistic ministry. This trip offers a variety of ways to serve, including skilled and unskilled construction projects, hosting a community barbecue, and a spiritual heritage tour of Scotland's rich faith history. Ladies Dominican Republic Trip (october 21-26, 2027)
This special is for women with a heart for other women and children facing hard times. The trip will include time at Mercy Workshop making jewelry, building friendships, and sharing in worship alongside the women working there. You may also get to visit homes, partner with other ministries, and take in the beauty of Dominican culture. We would love for you to join us!

National Missions
thanksgiving construction trip (november 20-24, 2026)
Be a part of this great opportunity to serving Camp Highlands in Elijay, Georgia. This team will be renovating tiny houses and building 4 decks. This trip is in partnership with Mission Team Inc. and is a fantastic local opportunity to serve through your skills.

Trailways Camp for special needs adults (February 20-26, 2027)
Join us as we serve at Trailways Camp in LaBelle, Florida. Trailways Camp enables adults with special needs, and those who care for them, to grow their social, emotional and spiritual relationships. This team will be assisting camp staff with daily activities such as arts and crafts, horseback riding, fishing, and camp parties. This trip is for those who have a heart for adults with special needs and are ready to serve this amazing population to share the love of Jesus!

Cobb County, Paulding County, and the greater Atlanta metro area is a beautiful place to live and do life with others. Many people in our own community have needs that are going unmet because they do not have anyone who can help meet their need. You or your LifeGroup may be just the ones to help these people, all while showing them the love of Jesus Christ. We have planted our lives in this community, so let’s be the ones that make a difference in our community and with our neighbors.

Calvary Children’s Home is a home for “children needing placement apart from parents.” Volunteers can serve as mentors in various school subjects, groups to help provide and cook items for weekday dinner meals as well as groups to take on “fix-up” projects. . First Care Women’s Clinic is a pregnancy center in Marietta that helps women in crisis and saves lives of the unborn. . The Table on Delk in Marietta ministers to the homeless women and children living in hotels along the Delk Road corridor who are currently, or at risk of, being sexually exploited.
