Burnt Hickory Dance is designed to educate and equip students ages 3-18 on how to worship the Lord and share the gospel through dance. “Let them praise His name with dancing.” Psalm 149:3

Burnt Hickory Dance Classes

Classes are offered for children aged three (by 9/1/25) through 12th grade. Beginning and experienced dancers are invited to register. Students are not required to be members of BHBC to participate.

BALLET:
All BH Dance students are encouraged to enroll in ballet to strengthen foundational technique. Classes include recital choreography. New students in grades 3–12 are placed based on prior experience—email for placement.

JAZZ:
High-energy classes combining classic jazz technique with fun, dynamic movement. Dancers improve strength, flexibility, and rhythm through across-the-floor work and combos. Offered for Level 1–Elite.

TAP:
Feel the rhythm in these fun, engaging classes for grades 1–12. Beginner (K5) students can join our Tap/Ballet combo class. Recital choreography is included. Ballet enrollment is not required but highly recommended.

HIP HOP:
These energetic classes focus on rhythm, musicality, and freestyle. Dancers build coordination and confidence through fun combos and age-appropriate music. Offered for Intermediate–Elite levels.

LYRICAL:
Lyrical encourages expressive, creative movement with a focus on worship through dance. Ballet enrollment is required.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING:
Designed to build physical strength and enhance overall dance performance. Available for Intermediate, Advanced, and Elite levels. No additional class enrollment required.

MUSICAL THEATER:
Our newest style blends jazz technique with theatrical performance. Dancers learn Broadway-inspired choreography with a focus on storytelling and stage presence. Offered for Intermediate–Elite levels.

TUITION PAYMENTS

While we are a church ministry, Burnt Hickory Music & Dance operates solely on the funds generated by tuition and fees, which provide the best instructors, equipment, and supplies. Therefore, tuition and other expenses will be collected for specific services and products supplied throughout the year. SUMMER DANCE CAMPS

Burnt Hickory Dance is offering two weeks of dance camps in June 2025. Summer dance camps are a great way to keep your dancers moving during the summer months, refine skills, and make new friends in a Christ-centered environment. They're also a great chance for those who haven't danced to try something new!

Mini Summer Dance Camp - June 17-19 ($75 per dancer)
- Session 1: 9:00am-11:00am
  - 4 years (by 9/1/25) - rising 1st graders
- Session 2: 12:00pm-2:00pm
  - Rising 2nd graders - rising 4th graders
Summer Dance Camp - June 23-26 ($100 per dancer)
- Session 1: 9:00am-12:00pm
  - Rising 5th graders - rising 7th graders
- Session 2: 1:00pm-5:00pm
  - Rising 8th graders-compleated 12th graders

Please note: Students may not enroll in more than a combined 10 hours per week of dance classes, private music lessons, or group music classes offered through Burnt Hickory Music & Dance.
