Every year, we ask for input from the church family to help identify men that would be willing and able to serve as a deacon at Burnt Hickory.
The deacons at Burnt Hickory follow the model given to us in Acts 6 and take on the role of servant and not decision makers. Deacons are asked to serve the Lord’s Supper, to serve widows and families in need, are a prayer support, and church feedback group for the pastor.
