What to expect:

BHBC Kids - We are asking families with Kids reservations to park in the front or left of the building and look for "Kids Check in Here" entrance signs.  Families will first have temperatures checked then use the emailed QR code or search by last name for touch less check in. Click HERE for more details on the safety procedures we have in place to help protect your children.

Family Style Worship – Family style worship is available, however, kid worship options for birth through 5th grade children are available this week.  There will be no LifeGroups this week during this phase.

Arrival – Our goal is to assist our church attendees in entering and exiting the church building in a timely manner and at a safe distance. Check-in doors will open 15 minutes prior to service beginning. Our hospitality team will help you get checked in and seated before the service starts.

Classic Service | Radiate Auditorium | 9:30 am  – We are asking everyone who plans to attend the Classic Service to park in the back parking lot behind the building and enter through either the back doors located near the kitchen and Missions Outpost (which allows easy access to elevators) or the rear children’s lobby doors (which allows easy access to the back stairway that leads directly to the Radiate Auditorium).

Modern Service | Family Life Center | 9:30 & 11:00 am  – We are asking everyone who plans to attend either hour of the Modern Service to park in the front parking lot or on the right side of the building by the church offices and enter through the front lobby doors or through the side Senior Adult entrance door.

Entering the Building for Worship Services – All members, visitors, and guests who register to attend worship services will be asked to check in at the appropriate entrance door by either scanning their digital QR registration code from a smart phone or by a printed reservation confirmation. In order to help us ensure safe social distancing practices, we will provide hand sanitizer stations at each entrance and throughout the building. If a short line forms outside the check-in stations, please be respectful of others by maintaining a distance of 6 feet from anyone not in your party. Some of our faithful volunteers will be available outside and inside the building to help greet and assist everyone, and to encourage safety for all.

Seating – Our volunteer ushers will be ready to help your family find a seating area to accommodate all members in your group. In order to limit contact, we ask that you do not move chairs around, and instead allow the ushers to assist you in finding a safe seating location for your family that maintains a 6-foot distance from others.

Exiting the Building – After the 9:30 am worship services are dismissed, ushers will help direct attendees to exit through the same doors they entered. As excited as we are to gather and see everyone again, we ask that you would exit the building in a timely manner to allow for our staff to sanitize and prepare for attendees of the 11:00 service to safely enter the building.

General Guidelines
Burnt Hickory wants to do our part in keeping everyone safe as we begin to gather again. Our staff and volunteers will be wearing masks for the protection of everyone in attendance on Sunday. Here are some of the ways you can help us practice social distancing to keep everyone as safe as possible:

  1. Greet everyone with a wave and a smile! Please refrain from greetings such as hand shakes, high fives, or hugging.
  2. Please respect others’ safety by maintaining a distance of 6 feet from anyone outside of your family.
  3. While our staff and volunteers will be wearing protective masks, we are not requiring our guests to wear. We will, however, have masks available for anyone who would feel more comfortable wearing one.
  4. We will not have childcare available on June 14th or 21st. We hope you will still join us as a family if you feel comfortable – but remember to include the number of children attending when you register.

Burnt Hickory is following local and state Covid-19 policies and recommendations to provide a safe environment for all who choose to attend on-campus church services. We will be wearing protective masks, checking the temperature of staff and volunteers, and we will be sanitizing any surfaces in the building that will be commonly touched (such as restrooms and chairs) between worship services. We encourage everyone to practice safe social distancing policies out of respect for others. If you fall into an at-risk category or would prefer to worship from home, we encourage you to continue to join us online! We want everyone to feel comfortable joining us in worshiping in the circumstance that best suits your safety and comfort level.
