Please contact me (darryl@starband.net) with any corrections.

Please send me (Darryl) an email about any Sunday AM's or PM's that you will not be available to play this winter. Otherwise, I'll assume you are available to play.
Also, please let me know ASAP if and when you have a change of plans on a given week. The more advance notice you can give me, the better chance we have of filling the empty chair.

NEWS -

New Blog Coming.  BHBC now has a blog account that we're starting to use for web communications.  We have one for the praise band, so I'm going to try posting the band schedule there, the band notes each week, etc.  I'll keep the schedule updated here too, at least at first, just to make sure no one misses the info.

The URL for the blog is: http://bhbc.typepad.com/bhbc_praise_band/

This Week's Schedule -

7/3 @ 6:30 PM: Orchestra practice in the activities room upstairs

Looking Ahead -

For this summer, if there is no PM entry on the schedule above for a given Sunday, then that means no band is required that night.

Important Stuff -

  • Rehearsals for the downstairs band are on Sunday mornings at 7:00 AM. Please be set up and ready to start at 7.
  • Please check the schedule above regularly for the dates you are scheduled to play.
  • Please make sure to pick up your music and the CD from the white table in the practice room early in the week when you are scheduled to play.   Please contact Darryl, Mark, or Barry with any questions.  It is imperative that you make sure you have all the songs you're supposed to have, all the pages are there, they're in the right key, it's the right versions, etc.  This needs to be worked out early in the week.  We will not have time to resolve these kinds of issues on Sunday mornings.
  • CHOIR & ORCHESTRA SPECIALS: If you're playing downstairs, make sure you have your part for the Choir & Orchestra special. Usually guitars, bass and drums will all use the "Rhythm" chart, and there are usually enough copies made for everyone. Sometimes there will be a separate "Drum Set" chart, so drummers, please keep an eye out for those as well.
  • PLEASE LISTEN TO YOUR CD and practice on your own throughout the week.
  • If you cannot play on a date when you're scheduled, please get a commitment from one of the others to back you up, and let me (Darryl) know. If you're in a pinch, please still contact me and I'll try to help arrange the back up.

  • Click here for a list of our fill-in musicians and their email addresses. (coming back soon)
  • If there is a Sunday night service on a given week, rehearsal begins at 5 on Sunday afternoon.
  • Please return your music and folder to the choir room table after you play each Sunday, even if you have markups. The staff will try to retain your markups for future use.
