Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
That All People May Know Him

"Don't forget to do good and to share what you have with those in need, for such sacrifices are very pleasing to God." Hebrews 13:16 NLT

The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is the annual offering collected across all Southern Baptist Churches to provide direct support for International Missions.  100% of this offering supports missionaries overseas.  Lottie Moon makes up 53 percent of the International Mission Board's total income  This offering is named for the first single woman to serve as a missionary and who gave her life to reach the people of China.

Five reasons Lottie Moon matters:

  1. 6,438 people groups are unreached for Jesus Christ; total population 3.7 billion
  2. Many are responding to the Gospel; more than 400,000 baptisms overseas
  3. More than 5,000 IMB missionaries’ ministries depend on Lottie Moon
  4. 100 percent of the offering supports missionaries overseas
  5. Sacrificial giving enables the church to actively participate in missions

“Why should we not … instead of the paltry offerings we make, do something that will prove that we are really in earnest in claiming to be followers of him who, though he was rich, for our sake became poor?” Lottie Moon - Tungchow, China - Sept. 15, 1887
