  Mike Stephens, Senior Pastor
Mike Stephens, Senior Pastor Mike has been serving as Senior Pastor of Burnt Hickory since 1986. He leads the church to function as a New Testament Church and works closely with the staff and church to direct Burnt Hickory in the achievement of its mission. Pastor Mike received his B.A. in Bible from Bellhaven College in Jackson, Mississippi and his Masters of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Viewed by the congregation as an authentic leader who loves people, Mike chooses to make the church's hospital visits. The congregation loves his "southern charm" and wacky sense of humor. Mike loves sharing his bucket of candy with the children, who adore him. Mike and his wife, Betty, have two adult children, Brittany and Michael.
  Marty Godfrey, Executive Pastor
Marty Godfrey, Executive Pastor A product of the North Georgia Mountains and the University of Georgia, Marty worked in corporate America for the first sixteen years of his career. Sensing God's call to full-time ministry he put aside his MBA for a seminary degree and began serving as a Minister of Education. Coming to Burnt Hickory in 2004, Marty serves as the church's Executive Pastor, working alongside Pastor Mike to give direction to the ministries and staff of the church. Marty and his wife, Becky, have three adult children: Stephanie (a college student at MSU), Christopher (a recent graduate of UGA), and Matthew (a State Farm agent in Woodstock). Together, they enjoy playing tennis and leading couples' Bible studies, focusing on marriage and parenting.

  Barry Cook, Worship Arts Pastor
Barry Cook, Worship Arts Pastor Barry has been at Burnt Hickory since 1996 after having served as Minister of Music at other churches, as well as teaching school, driving a truck and working as a flight attendant. Barry graduated from West Georgia College after studying music, theater and education. He is married to Allyson, and they have a teenage son, Cody. The Cooks enjoy traveling, camping and taking care of their cats and dogs.
  Jim Kilpatrick, Adult Pastor
Jim Kilpatrick, Adult Pastor Jim gives leadership to our Adult Ministry where he is responsible for leading and developing our LifeGroups (aka Sunday School) and our Discipleship courses. Before coming to Georgia, Jim was in South Florida for almost twenty years where he served as a Pastor, Missions Pastor and Minister of Education. He received a Masters of Divinity with an emphasis in Biblical Studies from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a Masters of Art from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He and his wife, Jenny, have four boys: JJ, Kenneth, Calvin and Jared. Jim enjoys golf, fishing and watching his boys play sports.
  Brian Foster, Singles and Missions Pastor
Brian Foster, Singles & Missions Pastor Brian was born and raised right here in Marietta, Georgia and is a graduate of Marietta High School. Feeling a call into ministry, he attended LaGrange College and earned his degree in Christian Education. While attending LaGrange, he met the love of his life, Susan. Following college, he attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. During his time in Texas, he and Susan were married. After earning his Masters in Religious Education, the Fosters served at the University of Alabama in the Baptist Campus Ministry. Then it was off to Conyers, Georgia and then Chattanooga, Tennessee where they served on staff of some great churches. In 2008, the Fosters came to Burnt Hickory to serve as Minister of Missions and Singles. Brian also has a passion for marriage counseling and spends much of his time helping couples find the marriage God has for them.
  Matt Petty, Student Pastor
Matt Petty, Student Pastor One of the few Cobb County born and raised people around, Matt, with the exception of his college years, has been in the area his whole life. God led Matt into a student ministry role while in college and has not let up since. Matt says, "How can you ever complain when youget to do what you love to do every day?" He loves spending time with his wife, Melissa and his two boys, Blake and Dalton. Matt gives leadership to the middle school, high school and college ministries at BHBC, focusing on bridging the gaps between these pivotal years. If you're up for a swim, ride or run, give him a call; it's likely you will catch him getting ready for his next triathlon!

  Chip Paul, Middle School Pastor
Chip Paul, Middle School Pastor Chip has born and raised in Leesburg, Georgia where he learned about true country living. God called him into ministry when he was eighteen years old, and he took a position as a youth pastor in Ellaville, Georgia during his college days. After serving there for over six years, he was given the opportunity to go back home to Leesburg and serve as middle school pastor of FBC for five years before getting the call to move to the big city at Burnt Hickory. Chip always says that he is blessed to work with middle school students because he feels they are the most impressionable group out there. Chip is married to Laurie and has three children, Joshua, Abbie and Sterlin. When he is not hanging out with middle school students, he enjoys being with his family, running, hunting or just being outside.

  Aaron Holloway, Childhood Ministries Pastor
Aaron Holloway, Childhood Ministries Pastor Aaron provides leadership to the Childhood Ministries (birth-5th grade). Prior to joining the BHBC pastoral team, Aaron served as a missionary for Maryland, DC and Northern Virginia to assist churches in the development of children's ministry and youth evangelism. Aaron also served as a children's pastor at Grace Baptist Church in Maryland and was a teacher at Charles County Public Schools in Maryland. He has a Bachelor's Degree from Western Baptist College and is currently pursuing his seminary degree from Dallas Baptist University. Pastor Aaron and his wife, Tina, have three young daughters, Kayla, Kendall and Kate.
